    Get creative with creative commons….

    It is always best to make you own music, however that is not always possible. Films for Learning will only allow you to show films where there are no known copyright issues i.e music recorded by other artists other than yourself or provided with explicit permission for educational use.

    Film adverts or TV footage or clips from sites such as YouTube taken without explicit permission and still images from sites such as Google will not be allowed (however useful).

    Having undertaken a little research Creative Commons appears to offer the FFL film maker some excellent opportunities. There are specific websites which host music for download under the creative commons agreement. These include;
    Jamendo
    Flickr (creative Commons)
    Wikimedia Commons

    There are other sites which provide resources which might be useful but will need a registration and login these include;
    Moby Gratis

    Some films need no music at all just natural sounds. Here are a couple of films where the music was made by the students themselves;
    Orchid film
    Cerne Habitat film
