    ideas for dna related films?

i'm not sure what people are looking for with this one...but i'm thinking...

    fast drummy soundtrack

lots of quick cuts between the same places/characteristics in different people eg lots of eyes, noses etc.

^this also makes it annonymous so more people might be persuaded to take part...

    interesting facts as titles/voiceovers

..and i think that'll be all from me for now. (:

I like the idea and I think that it would be interesting to do.

The interesting facts should be done with voiceovers because if it was written on the screen then people wouldn't have time to read it because of the fast drummy soundtrack.

    Thanks for reading. Bye.

Voiceovers would definetly work better but using the important parts as titles so it's limited to one word would work as well this would help make it more memorable as a person would more likely remember the music so adding the titles will help with remembering the voice over.

But you would have to make sure that the words used on the screen are not complicated words, such as nucleotides. Otherwise people aren't going to be able to understand them quick enough before the film moves on.

But thats  the idea of it. A big complicated word flashes and it sticks in your mind so you hear the explanation of it with the voiceover. It's essentially slow motion subliminal messaging getting them to see and hear it. You'd be surprised at how fast the brain picks up signals you can remember something you've seen even if it was only for a second.

True. What do you mean by flashing? Does this mean that the word would only appear for a couple of seconds because if that's the case, I don't think thatit would work very well. But then again, it would depend on how fast the fast drummy soundtrack is because you would have to make sure that every works together in terms of pace and rhythm.

Well I meant it would fit to the music but be on long enough so that it is consciously readable instead of subconsciously. But yes it does depend on the music.

Yes, it does depend on the music. The problem with this is that if it is too fast, then you can't read what is on the screen, but if it is too slow, the audience will get bored and not feel entertained or informed. If this idea was to be put into production, I think that it would be best to get all of the visual images done first because then you will be able to see what music (fast or slow) fits with the images. You would then be able to put the words on the screen much easier. Hopefully. If you find the right music.
